Workboats Northern Australia - WBNA

Workboats Northern Australia (WBNA) is committed to delivering a high quality support service to the marine construction and maintenance industry throughout Northern Australia.  WBNA strives to provide a safe, professional tailor made service to every project and client, on time and within budget.

WBNA own and operate a comprehensive fleet of marine vessels including flat top barges, multi-cat workboats, anchor handling vessels and fast crew transport boats. All vessels work to the required local survey and are as multipurpose as possible. WBNA ensures all vessels are thoroughly maintained, and operationally ready to go at any time.

WBNA employees are experts in their field, and are specifically selected to ensure a vast cross section of skills, in order to provide efficient and effective service to suit all work requirements. Crewmembers will react positively to project and condition changes in a safe and productive manner.

WBNA can provide support services including, but not limited to:

  • Marine construction project support,
  • Marine maintenance and repair tasks,
  • Workboat vessel charter and dry hire, and assorted barge charter and dry hire,
  • Logistical support for the marine construction and assorted industries,
  • Mooring installation, removal, and refurbishment,
  • Logistics and marine platform support for geotechnical survey work, and
  • Security and caretaking services.

WBNA stands for:

  • A flexible management style committed to ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Safety and production orientated crewmembers who work hard to deliver positive outcomes to all operations across the North of Australia.
  • Keeping the client and projects best interests at the forefront. WBNA recognise that to grow and expand it is necessary to make every venture a great success.

"Work Boats Northern Australia were commissioned to provide vessel and manning support for works relating to the construction and test of the Front Puffin FPSO floating hose assembly. These activities were conducted within the Darwin harbour area and subject to the typical tidal and weather conditions the Northern Territory can develop over the summer conditions. With Darwin being a relatively remote location and with the unusual construction & testing methods that the hose demanded, this project proved to be extremely challenging.

WBNA conducted this work with thorough diligence and professionalism and when coupled with an attitude to please, this project was completed trouble free. I would therefore recommend WBNA to any client or contractor requiring a similar service within, or around, the Northern Territory marine regions."
